Hello Folks!
Sunday night was a tremendous blessing as we were ministered to by the Cacals. We had approximately 35 people present, and were able to present the Cacals with a very generous love offering. It was an exciting time. Weez and I enjoyed their fellowship over “a bite” afterwards. Upon parting at the Jefferson Hotel, it was hard to say good bye!
This coming Sunday is Communion and the Baptismal Service. If we have missed any one in regards to speaking to them about baptism and membership, please let the deacons or I know. We still have time. Morning message will be “The Ultimate Baptism.” Evening message will be “Four Kinds Of Hearts.” Those participating in the baptism should wear some thing they don’t mind getting wet and bring a towel. Also we will need to know the birth dates of the candidates for the certificates we will be giving them.
A Mother’s Day Flowers sign up sheet should be ready for this coming Sunday. These are hanging baskets at a cost of $8.25. Keep in mind that on Mother’s Day, we will only have Sunday School and the Morning service.
We are tentatively planning on honoring our graduates during the morning service of June 8th. By this time, all the college and high school graduations should be complete. This should give every one plenty of notice.
Missionary Alton Smith will be with us the morning of June 1st. His wife Helen will not be with him on this date. Pray about what GOD would have you to give in a love offering.
My secular schedule is Tuesday 11am-7:30pm, Wednesday 11am-7:30pm, and Friday I have to go in for a couple of hours around noon. Once again, for about the fifth or sixth time in the last several years there is talk of another cut back due to the merge. It may affect me and it may not. We’ll just have to wait and see!
Weez’s back is greatly improved today, praise the LORD!
I believe that is all for now!
Keep Looking Up,
Pastor Don
