Pastor Don had a scary morning this morning when he suddenly began to feel dizzy and then feel a bit faint while driving.  In the car with him was his grandson when he felt the need to pull over off the road until the dizzy spell passed.  It did not pass.  He fell unconscious.

The car was parked in front of the bank on St. Claire Avenue in Clairton when Don lost consciousness.  Tyler, scared but keeping his wits about him, made his way from the car where his stricken grandfather sit unconscious to inside the bank.  He summoned the security guard for assistance and a few moments later the police and paramedics were on the scene and Pastor Don stabilized and rushed to Jefferson Hospital.

At the hospital he finally awoke, not remembering anything after pulling off the side of the road, but fully able to recognize family and friends.  Preliminary tests at the hospital have shown no abnormalities and no ill effects are apparent from the episode.

Don will be staying at least the night and undergo more tests in the morning in hopes of pinning down the reason for this sudden lapse of consciousness.

Special congratulations to Grandson Tyler for keeping his head together and summoning help just when it was needed.  And thanks go out to the security guard at National City and the Clairton Police and Paramedics for their quick response to the emergency.

Please keep the Pastor and his entire family in your prayers as they try to sort out just what happened and what the next course of action is needed to prevent such a near catastrophe from happening again.  Praises to God the Father that He kept Don and Tyler safe from severe harm.

In the meantime, the Sunday Morning Service will continue as normal but the Sunday Evening Service has been canceled due to this sudden illness and the fact that the temperature is expected to be a bone numbing 7 degrees at service time in the evening.

Please watch the website for more details as they become available.
