Wow! A whole month in between updates. There certainly has been a lot going on behind the scenes though!
- First and most important, we will be celebrating a Baptismal Service on Sunday the 9th of this month. We have two new believers that are eager to identify with the body of Christ and also to join the congregation. Praise the Lord! If you can attend please do, this is one of the most special moments a church can share together.
- Next is the Ladies of Prayer Luncheon on the 22nd. The guest speaker will be Missionary Arlene Berg from Jewish Awareness Ministries. She has a wonderful ministry and a terrific message to bring. FOR LADIES ONLY. Please call the church office or sign up in the church lobby to attend.
- On Thursday the 13th we will be honored to host a guest missionary from the Rock of Ages Prison Ministry during our Thursday Night Prayer Meeting. Missionary Steven Hygema will bless us with his ministry and describe how the Lord is working in one of the roughest places in all the world, the prisons in Mexico.
- Evangelist Tim Thompson of the Bill Brice Ranch has been invited to lead our Annual Revival Week during the first week of October (7th through the 13th). A covered dish dinner is planned for the evening of the 7th. Please invite family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, everyone. Reverend Thompson and his lovely wife are wonderful people to be with and we are always blessed and encouraged when they bring their ministry to our small part of the United States.
- Angelfood Ministries at Bible Baptist Temple is going strong! If you have a friend or family member that can benefit from this program to purchase $50 to $75 worth of food for only $25 please print out a menu and pass it along. There are ZERO qualifying requirements. The only thing you need is $25.
There is more, like the Building Fund and VBS follow up and the Fall Cleaning Schedule and the dreaded Nominating Committee meetings. But until then, please keep us in your prayers, the Deacons and Trustees and the Sunday School teachers and everyone that has a hand in exercising their Spiritual Gifts (large and small) for the edification and strengthening of the Body of Christ.
Until He Comes,
Pastor Don.
