Updates For Sunday August 5, 2007
August 4, 2007
Hello Folks!
Several things to remember in prayer in the upcoming days.
- Mrs. D is seeing her doctor today and hoping that he will tell her no further surgery is needed on her eye.
- Randy and his family will be traveling today for a several day get away. When they return, hopefully around Sunday evening, Bro. Randy is scheduled for gall bladder surgery.
- Carrie, who recently received the LORD JESUS as her SAVIOR, has had to be away to deal with a personal matter. We are told us yesterday that this matter may be taking a lot longer than she had hoped. Please keep her in your prayers.
- Our VBS has gone wonderfully! We know of 9 professions of faith that have been counseled. There is even a possibility of 12 decisions for CHRIST, if we are going by raised hands during the invitation.
- Don’t forget that this Sunday and every first Sunday of the month is Communion Sunday were we remember and celebrate the Last Supper of Christ before His sacrifice on the cross.
- There will be no Praise Team Practice this Sunday.
- Last Sunday our Special Business Meeting voted to complete the renovations to the heating and cooling for the Church Annex Classrooms despite the Building Fund Drive not being completed. The remainder of the funds will be provided by the General Fund and replenished when we reach our Build Fund Goal of $10,000.
- Another order of business presented is the formation of a Constitution Committee to investigate and recommend possible changes, if necessary, to the current Constitution and By Laws.
Thank you for your kind attention in these matters.
Keep Looking Up!

Angelfood Ministries Gaining Momentum

WOW! Last Saturday was a BUSY day! The distribution point was never busier as 17 churches were on hand to pick up their deliveries and out of those 17, we were the only church to INCREASE their order. Praise the Lord that He is using this ministry to bring help to the needy in Jefferson Hills, Clairton, Glassport, Dravosburg, West Mifflin, and so many other places.
The August menu is online and already we have taken many orders for the month. If you need to place an order give the church a call and, if one of your neighbors is having a rough go of it during this hot hot hot month of August, what is $25 of your money to give them well over $50 worth of groceries?
And it feels really good to give. Give it a try.
Boomerang Bonanza Update

Hello folks, we are 3 days into our Vacation Bible School Community Outreach with one more to go. Already we have had nine children make a public profession of Christ as their Savior!
If even one was saved from the eternal torment of the Lake of Fire all the work would have been worth it but the Lord has blessed nine to be saved!
Thursday is our last day and we invite everyone in the Church Family to attend and bring their little ones for this last day event. Our very own Pastor Don will be leading the teaching for the young ones.
But please, keep the VBS in your prayers so that every child that needs to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ can come away from the program hearing it at least once.
