Spring Cleaning for the Soul

Our Spring Attendance Drive is gearing up and we have one question to ask you;

“Does you soul need some cleaning?”

When was the last time you assessed your relationship with God, with other Christians, and with the world around you? We are hoping we can help. Our services are Bible centered and we preach the inerrant Word of God. Do yourself some good and find out why there is nothing better than the Bible for getting yourself right with God.

Updates Beginning February 18, 2007

• There is Praise Team Practice immediately after the 11:00 AM service.
• The Sunday Evening Service has been canceled due to dangerous weather.
• Men’s Fellowship Breakfast is this Saturday (24th). Please attend this monthly breakfast where we men get to be men for at least a Saturday morning.
• Starting February 25th we will be kicking off a monthly Coffee and Fellowship Morning. At 9:30, before the morning services begin, we will provide coffee and some morning donuts and danish and the opportunity to say “Hello” to everyone and maybe catch up on the things we haven’t been able to talk about during the month.
• The Annual Missionary Shower is scheduled for April 21st, hosted by the Ladies of Prayer.
• “Spring Cleaning for the Soul” is the Deacon Board Spring Campaign to drive membership, boost attendance, and re-energize the believers for the rest of the year. Our goal for the Easter Service is 120 souls in attendance. Prizes for the adult and child who invite and host the most new visitors to Bible Baptist Temple for the 4 weeks leading up to the Easter Service.

This Wednesday Evening Home Bible Study will be at 7:30 PM near the Lincoln Place section of town.  Please call the church office for directions.

The Men’s Fellowship Breakfast will be on February 24th and begin at 9:00 AM.  We missed many of you at the January Breakfast.  I hope to see you next Saturday morning.

The Deacons and the Ladies of Prayer will be having meetings right after the Sunday Morning Worship Service.  Everyone who is a part of these groups please stay after service for brief meetings.

The Spring Attendance Drive will begin March 18th and end on Easter Sunday.  Adults who invite and host the most new visitors to these 4 weeks will receive a prize as well as the child who invites and hosts the most for Children’s Services.

Our goal as a congregation is for 120 at the Easter Morning Service.

Happy 2007 Everyone!

Every first Sunday of each month is Communion Sunday, where we celebrate The Lord’s Table in Close Communion. Close Communion defined is all scripturally baptized believers may share with us the elements of The Lord’s Table regardless of their church affiliation. It is up to the individual to inspect their own lives and conscience before receiving Communion. The Bible rightly states that those who eat and drink unworthily from The Lord’s Table eat and drink condemnation upon themselves.

DUE TO THE WEATHER AND DANGEROUS COLD TEMPERATURES SUNDAY EVENING SERVICE FOR FEBRUARY 4th IS CANCELED.

Today is Bible Day for B.E.A.M.S. and to offer support for their ministry. Please make a donation during the regular collection or visit their website for partner information.

A Deacon’s Meeting is scheduled for February 11th, right after the Sunday Service. All Deacons need to attend this meeting to plan our Spring Attendance Drive.

The Ladies of Prayer Missionary Meeting is also scheduled for February 11th right after the Sunday Service.

The Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Dinner is tentatively scheduled for February 9th at 6:30 PM. We will be dining at Hoss’s Steakhouse on RT 51. Bring your sweetie or wifey/hubby to this lighthearted fun evening.

Wednesday Home Bible Study will begin at 7:30 PM this week. Please call the church office to get directions to the study site each week.

Signups are still being taken for the “Success in Bible Teaching Seminar“. Tickets are regular price now but not expensive at all. Please contact the church office for more details on our group attendance plans.
